Consequently, infrastructures have become a significant focus of research in anthropology and the humanities and social sciences more broadly (Buier, 2023; Harvey &amp; Knox, 2015; Star, 1999). Questions that connect infrastructures to development, sustainability, and transformation point to the significance of temporality \u2013 not only the present and the past, but also the future \u2013 as a crucial analytical lens (Amatulli &amp; Budka, forthcoming; Carse &amp; Kneas, 2019).
