The European
Association of Social Anthropologists (EASA) Media Anthropology
Network had its first meeting at the 8th Biennial Conference of
EASA, held in Vienna from 8 to 12 September 2004 (minutes of the meeting, PDF 145 KB).
Its second meeting took place during
the EASA's 9th Biennial Conference in Bristol on 19 September 2006 (minutes of the meeting, PDF 80 KB).
The Network
aims to foster the exchange of information and coordinate research
and teaching projects on the anthropological study of media. It also
hopes to contribute to the theoretical development of this area of
anthropological research.
